RUN WITH THE LIGHT: Gerry’s First 5Km Fun Run in the Philippines.

by: Vicboy de Lima

One of the 83nean runners’ goals for 2011 is to have first time runners among its batchmates join and finish a fun run.  After Dan Paulino and Rico Sabalvoro at the Takbo.ph Nightfest (April 9), the accomplishment of this goal continues with Gerry Cortez running the 5-km at the Run with the Light at Alabang last Saturday (April 16).

The marathoners of Batch 83 (Fards, Bob and Vicboy) joined and paced Gerry in his first 5-Km fun run in the Philippines.  Ernie and Ed ran the 15-km distance of the same fun run.  The route took the runners inside the Ayala Alabang village.

After Gerry, who’s next to join Batch 83’s growing running community?
Here are pictures from the Run with the Light experience.
